Volunteers Needed!

The Fleming Island Plantation’s Board of Architectural Review (BAR) and Fining Committee are both in need of resident volunteers to fill out their respective memberships.

The Fining Committee is comprised of residents responsible for assessing monetary fines when a property continues in a non-compliant status following a series of violation notices.  The Fining Committee meets the last Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Amenity Center.

The BAR consists of fellow residents responsible for reviewing all applications for improvement to the exterior of your home or to the property itself.  Experience in construction is beneficial and appreciated, but not necessary.  Any resident who is detail oriented, can apply established guidelines, and who will ensure compliance with the Fleming Island Plantation governing documents will be a valuable addition to this Board.  At present, the Board meets the first and last Thursday of each month at 5:00 pm in the Amenity Center.

Just a reminder that any changes and/or improvements affecting the exterior of your home must be submitted to the BAR for approval. This includes exterior lighting, changes in flower/plant beds, mulch color changes,  removal or addition of trees and shrubs and flower pots, fountains and decorations. For more information please see the BAR guidelines that are located under the BAR and Fining tab on this website. If you need clarification of any of the guidelines please feel free to call our Property Manager, Josette Martin at (904)-940-6044

Did you know that a single mailing to our residents can cost a minimum of $4500.00? We are encouraging our residents to sign up for email notifications to decrease your costs. Look for a form to sign up for email in the Annual mailing coming to your home soon!

The MHOA does not own any property in the Plantation. If you have concerns about dead trees that may be in the preserve you need to contact the Amenity Center. The MHOA is charged with maintaining the aesthetics of the neighborhood so we all have a pleasant place to reside and our property values are maintained or elevated.
